Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Service and repair refrigeration units, including commercial and residential units. Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and carry out routine maintenance to ensure efficient operation.
- Prepare surfaces and apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. This includes patching holes, sanding, and ensuring proper surface preparation.
- Address and resolve various maintenance issues, such as fixing leaks, replacing broken fixtures, and performing minor carpentry tasks. Install and upgrade equipment and systems as needed.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools. Order replacement parts and materials as needed and keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours calls, and perform necessary repairs to address immediate issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Complete work orders and report on the status of ongoing projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations as required. Having your own work truck or equivalent is a plus, as it facilitates timely response to on-site tasks and enhances operational efficiency.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours if needed, including weekends or on-call shifts.
- Certification or licensure in HVAC or refrigeration is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in various conditions.
- Dexterity and manual skills to operate tools and equipment safely.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials and machinery.
